In recent years Debt Management Companies have been in the ascendancy as the credit crunch took hold, but the Office of Fair Trading have been taking action against firms whose actions have been deemed less than professional.

In the past year 62 debt management firms have had their licenses revoked. The reasons for this have ranged from giving inaccurate advice, to companies masquerading as charities. As well as the 62 firms that have been forced to cease trading, the OFT has issued 129 warnings to companies for unprofessional practises.

Debt Management Companies also known as Debt Consolidation Companies are regulated under the Consumer Credit Act and must be licensed in order to provide services to those who are suffering from severe debt problems.

If you’re concerned about advice that has been given to you regarding mounting debts, or want advice and direction from a reputable company, contact us so that we provide you with a professional service to ensure that your debts are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I had a funny phone call the other day from a so called seo company who claimed that they were the experts at seo (search engine optimisation) I get a few of these calls weekly and the first thing I always do is Google the terms seo, search engine optimisation, search engine optimization and internet marketing to see if they can get their own site on to the first page of Google. I don’t normally name and shame but this one made me laugh. The website in question is liaquathayat.blogspot.comgranted this is a blog spot but as you can see on the image it states guaranteed seo.

Now the funny thing is you Google the term seo and can be bothered to scroll through 88 pages you will finally get to the end of the natural listings and right at the bottom you will find the company in question offering guaranteed seo. I did mention this to the gent in question and he insisted firstly that it’s a work in progress, so I have waited 4 months before publishing this blog and guess what? He is still rock bottom.

Either way these guys know what they are talking about http://www.internetmarketing-seo.co.uk/seo-for-debt-management

This winter has been a money taxing time, with either the prospect of buying all the presents you can for your loved ones or dealing with the record breaking crippling temperatures.

The temperatures that have been unheard of in Britain have been causing havoc with individual, forcing them to make over 700 million pounds worth of claims whether it was through the fault of ice on a road resulting in a motor claim or a house suffering from the extreme conditions resulting in burst water pipes or structural damage in extreme cases.

The insurance world have promised to try and keep the cost of insurance down as when so many claims are normally made the rates shoot through the roof.

Has this happened to you and are you know struggling to pay your monthly bills or debts? In the past 30 days we have had over 600 people contact us to share their problems and seek help for their growing debt issues.

Personally I have handled lots of the queries one in particular in which a young lady who had fallen over on ice and broken her pelvis, stopping her from working in the first month and a half of this year. She managed to get a basic sick pay from her place of work but this did not cover her bills and outstanding debts, including Christmas.

We tackled the problem by consolidating all her monthly payments into one payment that is spread over a longer period, but will give her chance to get back on her feet and manage her money until the debt is clear.

Do you have financial problems and need a quick solution? If so contact us and we will help.

According to recent research, people in the United Kingdom are currently placing debt at the top of their list of financial priorities. For the first time in two years, the British public are paying off more debt that they are borrowing, which indicates a significant shift in attitude.
The latest figures to be released suggest that in the second quarter of 2010, around 7p of debt was repaid for every £1 saved by members of the British public. These results contrast with figures from the last quarter of 2009 which suggested the public borrowed 66p for every £1 they saved.
It appears that consumers are seeking to be more proactive when it comes to paying off existing debts, but as a result they are saving a little less.
Karen Barrett, chief executive of the website behind the latest research, unbiased.co.uk, had the following to say about the figures:
“Brits appear to have shifted their financial habits to reflect those seen at the height of the credit crunch, with debt repayment top of the priority list.
For the first time since 2008, consumers are now paying off more debt than they’re borrowing - however this has inevitably also resulted in a drop in savings levels.”
Financial planners are likely to consider the results a step in the right direction as people look to exercise a little more control over their finances.

House prices are falling again for the first time since July last year according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Reports said that although more homes are being put up for sale, inquiries from new buyers were down for the second month in a row. Suggested causes for this are that potential buyers are finding it difficult to get mortgages as well as being afraid of unemployment. It’s also thought that this trend is likely to continue for the second half of the year.

The inability of potential purchasers to obtain mortgages highlights the lingering effects of the credit crunch as banks are still unwilling to lend. This is little comfort to tax payers who this week saw the banks which they bailed out last year, turnover massive profits. The added threat of unemployment shows that national faith in the economy is still wavering as positive economic indications are few and far between. This is one of the reasons that people are willing to sell as they seek to downsize so as to leave themselves more financially secure should the unexpected occcur. This is leaving a glut of houses at the higher end of the market, which is only going to be rectified should owners and estate agents alike come to more realistic valuations of the properties they’re trying to sell.

If your struggling with debt and feel that selling your home is the only way you can stay afloat, help is at hand. Leave your details with us and one of our dedicated debt management team will contact you, and discuss the options that will help you to keep your property and set you on the road to ‘debt freedom’.

A government scheme to help the millions of people struggling from debt has been described as a complete failure by MPs.

With 10% of people said to be struggling with managing their debts, and a collective estimated consumer debt of £1.5 trillion, the government set up a debt programme to offer support to those feeling the pinch and to try and reduce those who suffer in future. However Edward Leigh, chairman of The Public Accounts Committee who have been reviewing the effectiveness of the strategy has been less than impressed, describing the management of the strategy as less than satisfactory. A total of 51 interventions were introduced to help the public cope with the backlash of irresponsible lending practises employed in the run up to the credit crunch, however forums such as The Citizen Advice Bureau have struggled to cope with the demand as the requirement for debt advice has increased exponentially. The chairman suggested that the government needed to work more closely with the private sector so that good quality debt advice is more widely available to those that need it.

Here at A Debt Management we have trained debt advisers waiting to help you along every step of the way to break you free from the shackles of debt, and let you start living again!

Wayne Rooney has apologized for his impromptu comments made after England’s disappointing 0-0 draw with Algeria on Friday evening. The England and Manchester United striker aimed his tirade at a section of fans who booed the team at the full time whistle, suggesting that they should show more loyalty. However the comments were greeted with anger by many fans who felt, having spent thousands to follow their team obe, were perfectly entitled to voice their disapproval at what they consider was a lac-lustre performance. An official FA statement was released less than 24hrs later, apologizing for the comments which were seen on live TV as Wayne left the field of play. Rooney suggested that the comments were made more out of frustration at the teams performance rather than any anger towards the fans. He went on to re-itterate his passion for his country and called on fans to throw their full support behind the team in their final group stage game on Wednesday. England need to beat Slovenia on Wednesday to guarantee progression into the knockout stages.
