With more ex-partners of the infamous ‘Crossbow Cannibal’ coming forward, details are emerging about his bizarre behaviour and his unhealthy fascination with all things macabre.
Known locally as “a bit of an oddball”, he was also known as ‘the lizard man’ because of the two 4ft monitor lizards he would often be seen walking round the park on leads. One of his long-term ex-girlfriends tells how he would boast about feeding live rats to his pet lizards, but would also use them as a way to get talking to girls. Police are now trying to find the flesh eating beasts to discover if they have been used in anything far more sinister.
Another ex-partner has told of her shock when he first took her to see his flat in Bradford. After keeping the flat secret from her in the early stages of their relationship, when she finally got to see where he lived she was greeted with shelf after shelf of books about murder and mutilation, and hundreds of ‘slasher’ horror films which she said he would often find amusing! The relationship broke down immediately after her gruesome discovery.
The police were alerted to the identity of the self proclaimed ‘Crossbow Cannibal’ after Stephen Griffiths was caught on CCTV killing a prostitute from Bradford by shooting her in the head with a crossbow. He is also ‘Prime Suspect’ in the murders of two other prostitutes from Bradford who are missing, feared dead. Police are now looking into unsolved murders and disappearances spanning the last two decades to see if he may have been implicated in them.

I learnt recently that holidays can become a nightmare if you book with a friend and they pull out the holiday at the last minute either for lack of funds or health reasons.
The main problem is 99% of all holiday companies and flight operators will not refund any monies paid and as all holiday companies want the money upfront, the money you have probably saved up all year, can just disappear.
This happened to one of my clients, and with the exception of claiming the money back with a health certificate from the doctors, there was simply no way of getting the money back.
The total funds that disappeared amounted to over £2000, for her, and all her family. The disappointment of missing the holiday was enough to make her cry, never mind the fact that she lost over £2000.
If you are in debt and planning a holiday its always worth spending that little extra to make sure you get adequate holiday insurance, avoiding the disappointment of loosing a lot of money if something goes wrong.
Here at A Debt Management we control and anticipate peoples financial situations, we don’t offer holiday insurance but we can recommend a very reasonable provider to save the heartache of any problems.
If you have suffered a similar situation and are in finacial trouble, fill in our contact form and we will be in touch to help you solve your debts.

Police investigating Derrick Bird’s killing spree, which resulted in the death of 12 innocent people and the suicide of ‘Bird’, was likely to be triggered by a family fued over money. Derrick Bird rampaged through the Lake District after killing his twin brother, family solicitor, former colleagues, killing passers-by then turning the gun on himself after reputedly finding out he was to be left out of his mothers will. Derrick is reported to have a mounting tax bill for which he was relying on a windfall after the death of his mother to help him clear, but on discovering his mother’s dying wish was that her estate would not be used to pay back the government for her son’s shortcomings, Bird decided to exact his own kind of murderous revenge on those who he felt had influenced her decision.
No one could have predicted the disastrous outcome said to be a result of the pressures experienced by Derrick Birds debt problems, but it can only lay testament to the feelings of exasperation that these types of pressures can leave you experiencing. If your financial situation is making you feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, don’t suffer in silence. Leave your contact details with us, and one of our experienced debt advisers will be in touch so that they can help you on the road to recovery, enabling you to start living your life again.

A recent report published by the Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC) shows that despite a very difficult financial year, the home furniture industry is still surviving.
According to the SRC analysis for April 2010, most home furniture industries suffered due to the after-effects of the recession. Although sales figures and consumer buying trends varied considerably from store to store, overall the report suggests that shoppers were still buying essential items like beds, as well as furniture and equipment for kitchens and bathrooms.
The report says:
“Consumers, uncertain about their income and job prospects, remained very price-conscious, shopping for essentials but putting off discretionary purchases.”
The SRC believes that sales of kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture were supported by a spate of promotions for Easter, as well as numerous delivery deals. The SRC study also found that some businesses ‘noted good interest’ in new, modern furniture as well as floor coverings.
Not so successful during April, however, was the garden furniture industry. As well as the consumer view of garden furniture as non-essential, the SRC also attributes this poor performance and very slow start for garden furniture to the spells of poor weather experienced last month.
If your having a slow start to the year and are in debt please contact us and see if we can help you become debt free.

How much do ads really cost and how do they affect the countries debt?
Premier Inn may be a budget hotel chain but, along with comedian Lenny Henry, the company has managed to make their beds and rooms seem as luxurious as the Hilton. And it’s all thanks to their latest advertising campaign, their biggest to date.
Costing £12 million, the new campaign was launched on May 12th and again features Lenny Henry as the face of the brand. The latest series of TV ads also introduces the concept of the ‘Premier Weekend’, featuring Lenny shopping and fishing as part of the all-round hotel experience. The aim is to encourage guests to choose Premier Inn as the best low-cost option for a weekend break.
As much as Premier Inn tries to promote the beautiful locations of their UK hotels, however, it will always be the beds that are most memorable in their TV adverts. Often featured in past promotions as comfortable and surprisingly large – Lenny frequently hurls himself down on them with that trademark smile on his face – they remain a key feature of the new campaign.
All of this means that, as distracting as the attractive young couple reclining on a double in the new adverts may be, the viewer can’t help but be impressed at the quality of the beds, especially coming from a budget hotel chain like Premier Inn.
Surely premier Inn have avoided the recession?
If your having debt issue we can help.
