Rooney Apologizes for Rant

Wayne Rooney has apologized for his impromptu comments made after England’s disappointing 0-0 draw with Algeria on Friday evening. The England and Manchester United striker aimed his tirade at a section of fans who booed the team at the full time whistle, suggesting that they should show more loyalty. However the comments were greeted with anger by many fans who felt, having spent thousands to follow their team obe, were perfectly entitled to voice their disapproval at what they consider was a lac-lustre performance. An official FA statement was released less than 24hrs later, apologizing for the comments which were seen on live TV as Wayne left the field of play. Rooney suggested that the comments were made more out of frustration at the teams performance rather than any anger towards the fans. He went on to re-itterate his passion for his country and called on fans to throw their full support behind the team in their final group stage game on Wednesday. England need to beat Slovenia on Wednesday to guarantee progression into the knockout stages.

How do I go bankrupt?

When debts get to a certain level, and nothing can be done to clear them without a massive cash injection the only option for some people is bankruptcy.

It doesn’t happen that often in the UK and most people who are looking for this option Google it to see what options they have.

According to Google’s keyword tool the term, “how do i go bankrupt” get searched for five hundred and ninety times a month (590).

This means on a yearly basis without looking deeper at seasonal trends etc, that around 7000 people a year out of the 60 million in the country or so are looking to declare themselves bankrupt.

This is probably a fair figure but before you do this you need to consider the problems of declaring yourself bankrupt.

To start with you will need to spend around £370 in court fees and administration costs. Then you have the problem of having no credit rating for the next 6 years, resulting in a very difficult life when try to buy anything on finance or getting any sort of store/credit cards etc.

If you thinking of bankruptcy lets us talk you through the options and see if we can help. Fill in our form and we will do the rest.

2010/2011 football fixtures

99% of the UK is currently affected by football in one way or another with the world cup being held in South Africa and the release of the football fixtures today for the 2010/2011 season.

Whether you love or hate football its likely over the next 12 months you will be affected in some way. For instance my partner is buying a season ticket and using some of our joint savings to do this.

I’m guessing that this will be the same story across country as football seems to take over people lives if you become a true fan of a team.

Last year it was reported that a high percentage of men would rather use there wages to get a high priced ticket  to go to a game, using any other funds at there disposal to travel, eat and drink instead of paying there outstanding debts.

I cant blame people if the is a true love but the ramifications of this can snowball and get people into really serious amounts of debt.

If you have had a similar problem and now are facing large debt problems, we offer personalised debt management plans to get your life debt free and back to normal.

Credit card debts

I learned a valuable lesson this week as my partner has over the past 12 months tried to get a credit rating as they have never really had an active bank account or regular bills going in and out of there account.

Like lots of couples who move in together, the majority of the bills go out of one account and the other partner simply sends a standing order for the bills as an accumulated amount every month.

The biggest issue with this is when you come to buy something like a house or a car on finance you don’t have a credit rating score for the company to assess you against and you normally fail.

Another problem is you have to spend money to get a credit rating but then you have to be vigilant and pay it off on a regular basis.

The funny thing is we signed up to so many different credit and store cards that we forgot about one or two of the cards and now the bills have doubled even trebled in interest, so we have learned a valuable lesson that everything needs to be laid out and organized with a regular direct debit or monthly payment.

Don’t get caught out with interest on cards and always check the APR before signing up. It even happens to the experts.

If your having debt problems with cards let us use our first hand experience within the industry and help you. Fill in our contact form and let us call you back to talk you through what can be done.

World cup debts

The world cup is up and running, lots of the involved nations are seeing heavy amounts of crime, in and around the grounds, hotels and games, the main reason is, lots of people in South Africa are heavily in debt or are financially broke.

The Grecian team had there rooms ransacked whilst they were out at a meal.

This has been happening for years as the Liverpool team, have had there houses robbed whilst they were playing live football abroad. We can only assume that the criminals had a bright spark whilst watching the game and thought no one is at home.

The problems with national debts that it affects everyone and it drives people to crime to feed family and sometimes just get by.

Can I sell my own house?

Many people get in debt for hundreds of different reasons and a common one is the debt of a mortgage or house. The solution sometimes is to sell the house and rent somewhere cheaper or move in with a relative until your financially secure.

The main problems you will face doing this are: Costs, check out if your tied into a mortgage and are there any early repayment charges.

The cost of advertising the house. Websites like Rightmove that get thousands of visits a day and will only let you advertise on there site if you are an estate agent. The problem is if you go with an estate agent it will cost you between 1-5% of the overall property value on completion of sale.

Legal cost, including EPC’s (energy performance certificates) you can normally get these for around £50. The other legal costs are to complicated to try yourself unless you have a degree or a good contact in the legal industry. I have tried this my self and it gets very complicated so I would budget £1000 for legal costs.

The cost to actually move, this could cost £200 or so if you don’t have your own van.

The thing to consider is how much is this going to save you monthly and yearly. The overall cost could be in the thousands if you way it all up.

I cant suggest any good sites to advertise your house on for free but I’m sure there out there so if you come across anyone let me know.

Are you having trouble with your mortgage repayments and do you need more advice on how to make them easier or rearrange the payment. etc.

Will Big Brother Change My Life?

Love it or loathe it, it seems that Big Brother’s days are numbered, but why would someone want to be filmed 24hrs a day while the footage is beamed around the world? It’s possibly a generalist statement, but the underlying driver for auditioning for BB must surely be to try and attain fame and fortune. So with BB running for 10 years now, just how many of the contestants do you actually remember, and how many have actually achieved what they set out for? Well the truth is you probably can’t remember that many, so here’s a quick reminder of the most successful.
Probably the most famous housemate was Jade Goody, reputed to have made £8m in her short but eventful life, much of her success was acredited to her extremely astute management.
There’s Craig Phillips who has an estimated wealth of £5m. After donating his prize money to a family friend who needed a heart and lung transplant, he went on to star as a DIY expert in a day time television property show and now has a property portfolio of over 30 houses.
Then there’s ‘Nasty’ Nick Batemen who after being booted out of the show in the first series for ‘cheating’ went on to amass a fortune of £2m through a series of newspaper, magazine and book deals.
But the biggest winner of all is a gentleman called John de Mol. He was the former boss of Endomol who owned the worldwide rights to Big Brother. He sold his share in the company in 2000 bagging himself a bumper payday which rocketed his personal wealth to £1bn.

Entering a fly-on-the-wall TV contest might seem like a drastic way to raise some money, but desperation can cause people to do some strange things. If you’ve found yourself in debt and feel like there’s no way to resolve your issues, leave your contact details with us and we’ll be in touch with a much more realistic and effective way of solving your problems.

Debt Management Macclesfield

Debt Management Macclesfield

The small town of Macclesfield is growing all the time with more and more new businesses.

Recently I was contacted by one of the new businesses that had been running for six months.

The lady emailed our office asking for guidance and advice on some of her new business debt. To break it down, she had borrowed x amount of pounds well over the £5k mark and then loaned from friends the rest of the cash to buy stock and rent the premises in Macclesfield town centre.

The cash covered her initial outlay but as the business didn’t have the right publicity it was getting enough business to cover the debts.

We gave the project a bespoke approach and did all the leg work dealing with her creditors, consolidating the large debt into a more manageable monthly payment. The business is now sustaining itself and as its growing the lady in question is saving the profits to pay off the remaining debts as quick as possible.

If your local to Macclesfield and are have financial problems contact us and we will help you with a bespoke approach to you problems.
